TUITION PACKAGES
• SOLO LESSON: (One Lesson/Week: 60 minutes: $229/mo; 30 minutes: $115/mo). The Solo Lesson offers the student private one-to-one instruction with a trained music teacher. This package is best for the musician just starting an instrument, or who desires to make the most improvement and master their instrument. • DUET LESSON: (2 students of similar abilities) One Lesson/Week: 60 minutes: $149/mo). Ideal for two musicians who work well together, the duet lesson allows for weekly practice and performance with another musician of the same experience level. • ENSEMBLE LESSON: (3-5 students) (One Lesson per Week: 60 minutes:
$119/mo). Small group instruction is a great choice for woodwind &
brass choirs, percussion ensembles, string quartets, rock bands, or
vocal groups.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable fee of $25/student is required yearly at time of enrollment ($25 for one student and $50 for two or more family members). This fee is used to defray the cost of administrative overhead costs.
PAYMENT OF FEES: Monthly tuition covers 4-lessons/month. For yearlong enrollments this works out to 48 lessons. Shorter enrollments will result in increased tuition for 5 lesson months. Tuition must be paid by the first day of each month by pre-authorized automatic credit/debit card payment, a convenient service we provide. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as Northwest Music Academy. Any check or debit payment returned as NSF will be subject to a $25.00 fee.
ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance is essential to the learning process, so please be on time and be prepared. In the event of sickness please inform the Academy 24-hours before lesson. Make-up lessons are only granted when student is excused for a sickness and will be scheduled at earliest convenience. Make-up lessons must be within 30-days or are forfeited. Each student will be allowed 2 make-up lessons per 6-month period. Unexcused absences will be forfeited and no refunds are given for missed lessons. School activities such as holiday's, sporting events, band trips, etc., do not qualify for make-up lessons. It is parent’s, or adult student’s responsibility to be aware of NWMA dates such as recitals and dates open and closed. NWMA will post dates on the bulletin board as well as on the website. It is also the responsibility of the parent of adult student to inform NWMA of changes of address or telephone number.
WITHDRAWALS: There is a 2-month minimum enrollment for all lessons. To disenroll, a written notice must be submitted in person to administrative staff (not through the instructor). Complete & sign a withdrawal-form available at NWMA. All automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop at the end of the 1-month notice period.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY: Students arriving late will receive a shortened lesson. Instructors will wait for a late student for 15 minutes, after which the lesson is forfeited.
UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OF LESSONS/CLASSES: If the academy must cancel lessons/classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, the missed lessons/classes will be made up at the mutual convenience of both the student and the instructor.
INSTRUCTOR SUBSTITUTIONS: The academy reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute instructor if the regularly scheduled instructor is ill or otherwise unable to teach. If an instructor is ill, and the academy cannot arrange a substitute instructor, any missed lessons/classes will be made up.
CARE OF STUDENTS: The Academy is not responsible for providing before- or after-lesson care for students. Parents with students under the age of 7 are to remain in the Academy during lessons/classes. Students are not to be left at the academy before or after lessons/classes.
INJURIES: Parents, or legal guardians of minor students, and adult students, waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on academy property resulting from normal activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after lesson/class time.
PHOTO OR VIDEO RELEASE: NWMA is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials. Permission is also hereby granted for NWMA to copyright such photographs in it’s name.
